The Utilize Coalition

Utilize is a national, industry-led campaign working state by state to increase grid utilization—lowering energy costs, enabling growth, and accelerating deployment of proven distributed capacity solutions.

As a two-year campaign (not a trade association), Utilize aims to elevate the concept of grid utilization as well as the data-driven point that integrating new large loads can drive down costs for all electricity consumers.

Utilize was integral in passing a grid utilization bill in Virginia, requiring the state’s two major vertically integrated utilities to provide detailed distribution grid utilization data to state regulators this year and propose initiatives to use more existing capacity.
